Procedure Details
Breast augmentation is an individualised operation that may be considered by patients wishing to increase breast volume, restore volume after pregnancy or weight change, or address asymmetry. Implant size, shape and placement are discussed carefully during consultation and selected according to anatomy, tissue quality and personal goals.
Breast implants are placed through a planned incision, either above or partly/below the chest muscle depending on anatomy and the agreed surgical plan. Implant choice and placement are tailored during consultation rather than using a single approach for every patient.
Follow up
Wound/dressing review at 7-10 days; surgeon review at around 4-8 weeks.
