Procedure Details
Fat transfer uses liposuction to collect fat from another area of the body before carefully processing and injecting it into the breast. It can be used alone in selected patients or alongside reconstructive or aesthetic breast surgery.
Fat is harvested by liposuction, processed and transferred in small amounts to the breast. Not all transferred fat survives, so the final retained volume is less than the volume initially injected and more than one session may sometimes be required.
Follow up
Wound/dressing review at around 1 week; surgeon review at around 3–4 weeks
